This mold measures about 2 7/8″ x 2 1/8″ and sends the message “Made with love especially for you.” Little Cindy is busy rolling out dough to make more cookies to fill her trays.
The details are all very good and the dimensions within the image are really great. The kitchen has a 1950’s look and feel with polka dot wall paper. Notice the wall shelves with knickknacks and the details on the flowers. The cookies on the tray show different designs and textures. Notice also how skillfully the carver made the dough to drape over the edge of the cutting board. Fingers, eyes, hair, clothing patterns and textures all make this a great mold to add to your collection. I used this mold to produce a paper casting and all of the details and words show up perfectly. You could use this mold to produce hang tags for your cookie trays! #1722 Herr Vorst Mold – $33.42.

This mold measures about 2 3/4 x 2 5/8 and produces a cookie that measures about 1 5/8″ in diameter. The main image really stands out on this cookie. He looks to be dressed in 18th century attire with the ruffled shirt of the time as well as his coat. His face and long hair are very detailed and visible. It looks to me as if he is on a stage with the curtains pulled to the sides. Perhaps he is an orator or actor and is taking a curtain call. The border on this one is very eye catching. It consists of and other ring of two lines then small pearls, two lines again and ending with a ring of half scallops. It has become a favorite of mine. It is just so eye catching. This mold is #1722 and sells for $33.42. Clear or tinted copies of this mold will cost an extra $4.18.

#1740 Trier 6 Image Mold. – $52.46.

This mold measures about 6 3/16″ x 3 7/8″ and will produce six framed images measuring about 1 3/4″ x 1 11/16″ each. The images look to be of a woman playing a harp, a woman sitting with her dog upon her lap, a couple dancing, a couple enjoying an afternoon on the lake, a man saying farewell to his wife as he prepares to journey to the city and a man showing off his garden and the new potted flowers he just returned with. The images are “rustic”, but each one provides a look into the carver’s life. The images stand off the cookie base and the details are very nice. I like the way the carver framed the different images allowing me to “imagine” what story each image was telling. The original mold came from an old family estate in Trier Germany. The family estimates that it was carved in the very early 1800’s. The original mold has splits and cracks but we removed these from our replica so that it is as close to the original mold when it was first used as possible. This mold is #1740 and sells for $52.46.

#1743 Fiddler Mold. – $53.18.

This mold measures about 6 1/2″ x 3 1/8″ and was made to produce a Belgian cookie called Couque de Dinant (Cake of Dinant) but it can also be used with a Springerle, Gingerbread or Speculaas dough. The image is that of a black fiddle player. I say that because that is what was passed on to me. He must have been performing in Belgium or there abouts and someone decided to create a cookie mold of him. Perhaps someone who enjoyed and admired his music. The mold produces a cookie that is nicely detailed with good depth, charm and character and perhaps a bit of history. This mold does not lay flat when placed face down, but this isn’t an issue as this image is meant to be closely trimmed. This mold is #1743 and sells for $53.18. A clear or color tinted version of this mold will cost an extra $6.65.
