Note: Molds that are clear give the exact same results as the brown molds. The clear molds over time may yellow a bit but will remain clear. As for strength, the clear molds are very durable. Clear molds may also be color tinted to look like depression glass.

This mold measures about 5 ¾” in diameter and is complete from edge to edge with beautiful and very decorative details. I love the style in which the angel and sheppard are carved. This mold is produced in clear tinted colors and has a canal around the side to assist in lifting the mold after pressing. It is truly a beautiful piece of functional art.

Amazing and beautiful details that stand out to tell the story of Christ’s birth. Use this mold to produce a cookie, beautiful cake topper with Marzipan or a paper casting to be framed and displayed. This mold is #451 and sells for $79.84. Please note that the back side may have what looks to be imperfections. These in no way affect the clarity and usefulness of your mold.

#1727 Alsace Christ Mold - $74.46.

#1727 Alsace Christ Mold – $74.46.

This mold measures about 9 3/4″ x 5 5/8″ and will produce a cookie that measures about 8 1/4” x 4 1/2”. The image is very beautiful, dimensional, deep, nicely detailed and very accurate with proportions. The mold carries the number 21 and the initials J?B. The image looks to be that of Christ. Here is what some folks sent to me about the symbolism: The right hand is raised in a gesture of benediction. The 3 fingers up represent the Holy Trinity and the 2 fingers down represent the 2 natures of Christ. He also holds the globus cruciger (cross-bearing orb) showing Christ’s dominion over the world. His head is surrounded by a halo of radiant light (rather than the typical round disc or circle halo) which depicts a holy person. Now, the hat threw me but it looks similar to that of the one wore by the Holy Infant of Atocha. Due to the sheep at his feet the image certainly looks to be Jesus as the Good Sheppard. You will not be disappointed with the results this mold can deliver for you. Keep in mind that this mold can also produce great paper castings and other works of art for you. This mold is #1727 and sells for $74.46.

This mold measures about 6 5/8″ x 4″ and will deliver a beautiful image of an Angel. he fingers on the right hand are raised in a blessing gesture and the object in the left hand may be a sword of sorts or a scepter. Some folks have suggested a recorder or horn. The details are nicely carved and the depth of the image is very nice. As an ornament, it would be beautiful painted with royal blues, maroons, gold, silver, yellow and browns. I’m told the original mold was carved sometime in the late 1600’s to mid 1700’s. The original mold now resides in the Sara B. Carlisle collection. This mold is #1754 and sells for $68.11. A very beautiful and old image.

This Nativity scene cookie mold measures about 4 1/4” in diameter and produces a cookie that measures about 4” in diameter depending on how you trim it. The depth and details of the images are great. The border looks to have a vine and leaves wrapped around it. The inner scene not only has the Nativity scene itself  but also a Shepherd looking over his flock. The 3 Magi are there. One is kneeling and his crown has already been placed at the Lord’s feet. The frankincense is being given to Mary and that Magi is removing his crown and holding Jesus’ hand at the same time. The 3rd. Magi is still wearing his crown and holding the Myrrh. Joseph appears to be looking through the box of gold.
This is the first Nativity scene I have seen that has a braided rug. The facial features are all nicely detailed and so is the clothing that is worn. Notice the folds of Mary’s robes. #206 Gotsch Nativity Scene Mold - $35.95

#206 Gotsch Nativity Scene Mold – $35.95

This mold measures about 4 7/8” x about 3 3/4” with the center Nativity scene measuring about 3 3/8” in diameter. This mold is not as “crisp” as the other Nativity scene molds we offer but the design is different and I like the size of the round cookie it produces. This would be a very beautiful cookie, marzipan candy or paper casting left plain or more so if embellished with edible colors and tinted with gold and silver. This mold is #206 and sells for $35.95

Here is some information I received about some of the symbols on this mold from Fr. Bruce: The letters in the lower left hand corner spell “Santus Lucas”. This is Latin for Saint Luke, and the symbol of St. Luke in the Catholic Church is a winged Ox or bull. The letters in the lower right hand corner spell “Santus Matheus”, which is Latin for St. Matthew. St. Matthew is represented as an angel or winged man. The winged lion represents St. Mark and the Eagle represents St. John. These four saints are the four first evangelists of the Catholic Church and they are an important part of the foundation of the early church, thus they are the cornerstones and positioned as such in this carving.

This mold makes a great Santa. The first time I made him I was hooked as his size is just about perfect and his features make this a very handsome cookie. If after you trim him you gently stretch the cookie from both top and bottom he will become a Pencil Post Santa. Nothing says he has to be the same shape all the time. I do this by putting a spatula under his head and feet and gently pull.

      Hello Steve,

Molds for $16.00 and under are in the process of being picked and will be added as soon as they are ready. Please check for them in about 40 days.

  2. Joni says:

Two questions — how do you achieve the scalloped edge on the cookies? Also, how do you make a white cookie — or are they marzipan — when making springerle if you use eggs? Joni

Thank you visiting my site and for writing.

I use fluted cookie cutters and fluted pastry wheels to trim my Springerle. It gives them
      a certain something.
The white porcelain look of my Springerle is achieved by my baking method. The recipe I use is the one
that is found on the blog.
