#1935 Königsberg Marzipan Heart Mold.
This mold measures about 6 3/16″ in diameter with the image measuring about 4 1/4″ x 4 5/8″. A very beautiful and meaningful motif. The cross and anchor symbolize Christian belief and hope. The daisy is said to be a symbol of the innocence of the Christ Child. I am not certain of the meaning behind the other flower that looks like a trumpet vine. This mold has a groove around its side to assist in lifting it up off your dough. This is a good sized deep mold that I believe could be used for a filled cookie or confection such as a Marzipan-filled gingerbread. I have used it for cookies using a Springerle cookie dough. It could also be used to produce a cake topper. The original mold was used in a bakery in the German town of Königsberg where Königsberg marzipan was made. This mold is #1935 and sells for $63.19. There is a double border; the first is of single dots and the second border is of leaves. The mold can also be used for making a cake topper, cookies, confections or art work. This mold is available in 3 sizes; this is the largest one and this is the first time it’s been offered. #1768 Lady Edith Mold – $159.89.
Simply Beautiful! If you own a bakery or cater, this mold would make a beautiful presentation. For Garden parties, luncheons or Special events. This mold of a very beautiful and expertly carved fine lady measures about 13 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ and is the LARGE and original size version of our Lady Edith. I can’t say enough about the carved fine details and symmetry that the carver imparted to this Lady. All of the details have very good depth and dimension. The lady looks to be dressed for the time period between 1820 to about 1848. This mold has grooves along its long sides to assist in lifting after pressing. From what I can gather, the original mold came from an old family collection in Nürnberg, Germany. The family name was Rackl. The mold had been used at an old bakery in the center of town for many years. The bakery, which was in a centuries old house, was destroyed during the war. The JUNIOR size (about 7 9/16″ x 2 13/16″) and SMALL (about 6 3/4″ x 2 7/8″) are available in separate listings. This mold can be used with a Springerle, Gingerbread, Spekulatius or Marzipan dough. It features Santa standing in the wicker basket of a hot air balloon while tossing out toys and fruits. This scene is full of small details and the depth of the image is great. A full moon and stars shine down on his travels as a lit lamp sways on a fir tree to help light his way. Below you can see the town church and homes as well as some trees. In pressing this mold, I had to press a few times to get a good press. The netting on the balloon was in particular a challenge at first. After I got the proper press down it all went well. You may need to practice a few times. With paper casting or other craft material it may go easier.
