This mold measures about 5 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ and will produce an image that measures about 3 7/8″ x 3 3/16″. At first glance you’ll notice that every inch of this heart is filled with beautiful images. The images are all of great depth and dimension and were all masterfully carved. The heart shaped border too with its great depth features three flowers and ties the whole design in well together. All of the images from the birds and flowers to the leaves are very detailed. This would be very beautiful too if painted with edible colors. #229 The Proposal Mold – $48.96.

This romantic scene set in the 1800’s measures about 4 5/16″ x 3 3/4″ with the image area measuring about 3 1/2″ x 3″. A very nice size that shows plenty of details. Some of the details look a little “soft” but still present a beautiful romantic image. Framing this scene of young romantics is an Art Nouveau flair border. This border lends to the overall appearance of this wonderful mold design. This mold has a groove around its side so that it will be easier to lift off your dough. The clear and color tinted versions of this mold are a beautiful stand alone work of art. So, not only beautiful art but functional as a cookie mold as well. This mold is #229 and sells for $48.96. This mold is available in clear or color tinted for an extra $6.12.

#456 Junior Lady Edith Mold – $70.16.

This mold of a very beautiful and expertly carved fine lady measures about 7 9/16″ x 2 13/16″. I can’t say enough about the carved fine details and symmetry that the carver imparted to this Lady. All of the details have very good depth and dimension. The lady looks to be dressed for the time period between 1820 to about 1848. This mold has grooves along its long sides to assist in lifting after pressing. This mold can be used with a Springerle, Gingerbread, Spekulatius or Marzipan dough. A work of edible art as is but painted with edible colors, she’d be a hit during your luncheon, tea party or shower. Paper casting with this mold should also work well. The Junior Lady Edith mold is #456 and sells for $70.16. A clear or color tinted copy of this mold will cost an extra $8.77. This mold is a smaller more single serve and cookie tray friendly version of the original size (about 13 3/4″ x 5 1/2″) and we also offer a smaller version, #523. From what I can gather, the original mold came from an old family collection in Nürnberg, Germany. The family name was Rackl. It had been used at an old bakery in the center of town for many years. The bakery, which was in a centuries old house, was destroyed during the war.

The mold has grooves along its long sides to assist in lifting after pressing. It can be used with a Springerle, Gingerbread, Spekulatius, or Marzipan dough. This mold measures about 7 1/4″ x 5 3/8 ” and will produce twelve individual images that measure about 2 1/8″ x 1 3/16″ each. The images represent professions in daily life. Each image is framed by a herringbone hatch design. These are a great rectangular shape of a two to three bite size. One of the images is of a man with shears riding on a goat. I imagine it is something to do with his profession. The designs are of good depth and detail with the faces not as well executed as others I’ve seen. The original mold I’m told was carved around 1810 and was in the possession of a family in Munich Germany. This mold is #1775 and sells for $72.85. #2000 Vosen Adam and Eve Mold. – $57.18

This interesting interpretation of the scene of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden measures about 7″ x 4″. The serpent is curled around the tree trunk and its head is among the leaves. The serpent has a beautiful face of a woman as opposed to the typical serpent face. It was tradition into the 1700’s to accept that the serpent had a human face (usually a woman’s) so Eve would be easier to deceive. The tree leaves and bark are nicely detailed and the fruit in the tree is easily seen. There are grooves on the sides of this mold to assist in removing it from the dough. The original mold is reported to have been carved sometime in the 1600’s to 1700’s. This mold is #2000 and sells for $57.18. Clear and tinted copies of this mold will cost an extra $7.15.

#1885 Wheat Harvest Mold – $73.01.

This mold measures about 5″ in diameter with the main image measuring about 4″ in diameter.  The images are deep and detailed and the scene is that of a wheat harvest. This is what I refer to as a “Story” mold. There is plenty of action going on such as the folks in the foreground cutting the wheat, the wheat being carted off for processing, the woman tending to her chickens, the squirrel watching the action and the monk standing in the doorway as if waiting for the wagon to pass. Perhaps this is a wheat field owned by a monastery? The scene is framed by a deep leaf styled border with a plain outer border surrounding that one. This mold has grooves on its sides to assist in lifting it from the dough. This mold is #1885 and sells for $73.01. Clear and color copies of this mold will cost an additional $9.13.

#2014 Junior Saint Nicholas in Touring Car Mold – $43.57.

This unique mold measures about 5 7/16″ x 2 1/2″ and features St. Nicholas riding in a luxurious Pierce-Arrow Touring car. In 1909 President Taft made history by ordering two of these cars to be used for official State occasions. Perhaps St. Nicholas is delivering the first of those cars to the White House. This mold produces a beautifully detailed but small cookie, with the image measuring about 4 3/4″ long and about 2″ at its tallest. Saint Nicholas is driven around in luxury while the “N” on the side of the car identifies the owner as Nicholas. Strapped to the back of the car is a basket of apples. This mold works well with Springerle dough but could be used with Speculaas, Spekulatius and Gingerbread doughs. It could be used with Marzipan as well. This mold has grooves on its sides to assist in lifting it from the dough. This mold is #2014 and sells for $43.57. Clear and tinted copies of this mold will cost an extra $5.45. This is the smallest version of this image we offer.
